There is nothing in the world countries value themselves for more than their military might. Since the dawn of forever, different civilizations have dedicated more money and manpower into building their nations into the deadliest, most lethal machines they possibly could. The invention of the plane was a game changer, and since then, no nations have been able to produce more savage beasts than the US, China, Russia, and Germany. These are some of the most badass weapons of mass destruction in the history of war, some of which nearly no pictures exist.
The Caspian Sea Monster
The KM (Korabl Maket), colloquially referred to as the Caspian Sea Monster was an experimental plane developed by the Soviet Union during the Cold War. With a wingspan of 37.6 meters and a length of 92 meters, it was the heaviest and largest aircraft in the world from 1966 to 1968. Primarily developed by the Soviets as a ground effect vehicle – it looks like a plane but uses ground effect to fly just over the surface of water – its discovery was one of the most shocking parts of the cold war. However, it crashed in the 80s and officially decommissioned afterward.
