For those who have made a career out of hunting for ancient hidden treasures, they will tell you it takes a bit of luck to strike a lucky spot. However, some of these old treasures were so spectacularly hidden that the few we know of were accidentally stumbled upon by ordinary people. Here is a list of top 3 such treasures;
The Dead Sea Scrolls
These are believed to be among the earliest texts of the Bible. A group of teenager herders only discovered them when they were looking for a lost goat. They found the scrolls in a cave that they discovered after a stone fell into it and produced a shattering sound.

Derinkuyu, an underground city
In turkey, a man was renovating his home when he knocked a wall that opened into a tunnel. Further into it he found a city that could hold up to 20,000 people. It has streets, shops and water well.

Tomb of the first of the Qin Dynasty
A group of 7 men were digging a well in the city of Xian. After some depth, they struck a statue that would later be identified as the tomb for the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty.
