A different idea
About 20 years after buying the land, Bruce heard about a woman called Joanne Ussery. This Mississippi hairdresser had bought herself a Boeing 727 and turned it into her home. It turns out that the creatively-inclined Ussery’s previous house had burned down. After that, she decided to buy a plane, place next to a beautiful lake, and turn it into a very livable home. Although Bruce had started working on his freight van idea, he thought the airplane idea was a lot more fun and potentially far more innovative. But now he had to get enough money together to buy a plane as well as move it to Oregon.
