The RMS Titanic was built to be the pinnacle of luxury. Even the lower class passengers led quite a lavish life. From luxury, café’s on the deck overlooking the ocean to dance parties, life on the Titanic was a great time, well up to the point where the unsinkable ship hit the iceberg at 11:40 pm on April 14, 1912, and went under 2 hours later. The Queen of the Ocean was the biggest ocean liner at the time and deemed to be unsinkable, but I know an iceberg that would strongly disagree.
The ship that could not sink
The RMS Titanic was dubbed the unsinkable ship by its builders, crew, and passengers, and April 10, 1912, the ship disembarked on that fateful journey from Southampton never to arrive in New York. Two thousand two hundred passengers on board the largest steam liner of the time did not realize that at 11:40 pm on April 14, only five days into the journey, the ship would hit an Iceberg that ripped open the hull, and would be the end of the ship. Two hours after the ship hit the iceberg the Titanic went undertaking 1,500 passengers with her and settled on the floor of the Atlantic.
